Microcement Overlay Installers
Why Choose a Certified Professional?
Microcement is a specialist system; a flawless finish is the result of training, precision, and experience. The performance of your microcement product depends on how it’s mixed, applied, and sealed. Additionally, the longevity of overlays relies largely on the condition of the substrate underneath.
A professional microcement installer understands substrate preparation, the science of adhesion, and the subtleties of hand troweling that define a high-quality result. From repairing a damaged substrate to applying the final sealer, every step must be executed correctly to ensure durability and aesthetic consistency.
Without proper technique, even the best material can fail — leading to cracking, peeling, and other issues over time. Choosing a professional installer protects your investment and guarantees a surface that performs beautifully for years.

The X-Bond Installer Network
Alt. Surfaces have been working with X-Bond Microcement since 1999, long before microcement became a design buzzword. Our team installs X-Bond around Victoria, and there’s a network of certified X-Bond installers spanning across Australia.
Every applicator completes ongoing product and technical training through Seamless Overlays, our dedicated supply division.
In order to be eligible to train with X-Bond, applicators must have experience in rendering, concreting, or other surfacing trades. This is to ensure they understand how to assess substrate suitability and environmental conditions, before even picking up the trowel.
Every Alt. Surfaces project — and that goes for other X-Bond installers too — will maintain the same level of performance, durability, and finish quality.
