If you would like to achieve a concrete textured finish without actually using concrete, X-Bond Microcement could be the answer you’ve been looking for. X-Bond is one of the most advanced microcement solutions on the market. Consisting of stone and a liquid polymer, it’s hand applied over an existing substrate at approximately 2-3mm thick to replicate the look and feel of various concrete textures as well as other materials — including polished concrete, stucco, stone, limewash, and natural concrete. X-Bond Hybrid
X-Bond Hybrid is hand-trowelled over an existing substrate to achieve a sleek texture with tonal variation.
It’s sealed with either an internal or external sealer and is suitable for floors, walls, joinery, and wet areas. The trowel marks remain visible in the surface to create a cloud-like finish with subtle depth and shifts in colour.
X-Bond Natural Concrete
Like the name suggests, X-Bond Natural Concrete is a microcement finish inspired by the natural texture of raw concrete.
Suitable for feature walls and joinery, the application process begins with a fine spray of X-Bond, followed by a skilled trowel technique that creates both smooth and textured areas. The result is a lightweight surface coating with the same organic imperfections as a raw concrete slab.
X-Bond Mineral
If you’re wanting something different to the concrete look, our X-Bond Mineral finish is a versatile alternative inspired by classic stucco.
It’s suitable for walls or ceilings, and can also be used on external floors requiring high slip resistance. With the Mineral finish, X-Bond is applied to the surface using a spray gun. This creates a splatter effect that dries to form a rough surface.
X-Bond Blade
Add more texture to your external concrete flooring without sacrificing a seamless concrete-inspired finish.
For the Blade finish, we apply X-Bond over an external concrete slab with a special blade. The tool creates pronounced chatter marks which provide added texture compared to our Hybrid finish. Where Hybrid is soft and cloudy, Blade’s appearance is rougher and more industrial.
