Five Recent X-Bond Microcement Bathroom Installations

Over the past three decades, we’ve brought plenty of bathrooms to life using X-Bond Microcement. Each project has been a unique opportunity to combine clients’ personal style with the seamless, modern aesthetic of our tactile render — and highlight just how adaptable microcement can be in wet areas. In this blog, we’re sharing a closer look at five of our latest bathroom installations.

This bright and airy master ensuite

At Two Parts House, the master ensuite was designed to create a sense of openness. An abundance of natural light, tonal neutrals, and seamless X-Bond rendering make the small space feel expansive.

Parisian glamour with an edge

The brief was to embrace rich, glamorous finishes but in a way that still felt fresh and modern. In the bathroom, this means bespoke mirrors and jewellery-like lighting with the patina of X-Bond Luma on the walls.

A space embracing sleek modernity

The team at Bayside Projects specified X-Bond because it was a grout-free alternative to tiles — that was also much quicker and easier to apply. Plus, it makes the ideal backdrop for the intensity of that viola marble to shine.

‘Serenity’ was the driving concept behind this renovation. To make the new bathroom feel more soothing and uplifting, surfaces are seamlessly enveloped in our texture-rich X-Bond render. There’s nothing more calming than neutral tones enhanced by lots of natural light.

At Alternative Surfaces, we love working with X-Bond in bathrooms because it’s quick and easy to apply (especially after almost 30 years of experience) and delivers a high-end look without compromising on longevity or maintenance.

In each of these bathrooms, X-Bond Microcement was specified because of numerous benefits:

  • A seamless, grout-free alternative to tile

  • The versatility to cover floors, walls and even showers

  • Adaptability to any palette or design mood

  • Effortlessly complementing other materials and finishes

  • Installation over existing surfaces without needing to demolish them (learn more here)

Whether your vision is serene and spa-like or rich and dramatic, X-Bond is the perfect foundation to bring it to life. These projects are proof that a microcement bathroom can become so much more than a practical space; it’s a work of art!
