How Designers Are Using Our Stone Overlay Systems

We love seeing how designers specify and use our stone overlay systems Quartz Carpet and Terradec in their projects. Although very similar in appearance, our Quartz Carpet overlay system consists of coloured quartz stones and a binder, whereas the Terradec stones are bigger in size and consists of natural stones. is an overlay system consisting of coloured quartz stones and a binder. Both finishes are then hand-trowelled over an existing substrate ranging from 5-7mm thick for foot traffic, and 8-10mm thick for vehicle traffic.

Why choose a stone overlay?

1. An Alternative to Demolition

Stone overlay systems allow you to bypass the expense and inconvenience of full demolition or replacement. You save on both materials and labour by being able to install the stone overlay directly over your existing material.

2. Faster Installation

Because there's no need to remove the existing surface, overlays can typically be installed much more quickly than concrete and other traditional applications.

3. Durable and Hardwearing

Stone overlays are engineered to withstand foot traffic, weather exposure, and general wear and tear, making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

4. Stylish and Customisable

Available in a wide range of colours, overlays can suit a variety of design styles.

5. Easy Maintenance

Stone overlay surfaces are resistant to stains and easy to clean, requiring minimal upkeep over time.

7. Versatile Application

Suitable for floors, walls, stairs, benchtops, patios, pool surrounds and more — almost any stable surface can be transformed.
