Alt. Surfaces Pavilion by Latitude

The Alternative Surfaces Pavilion by Latitude for Sydney Indesign 2017.

We’re proud to be showcasing a pavilion at Sydney Indesign 2017. Our goal with the execution of this pavilion was to illustrate the versatility and endless possibilities of our products, specifically X-Bond Microcement. It was designed with help from Latitude who also created our award-nominated branding.

The exterior is finished in X-Bond Microcement Luma, our classic concrete-inspired texture. Inside, we sprayed the Mineral finish on the walls in a custom jet-black shade. This balance — smooth, subtle texture on the outside and intense tactility inside — shows the full spectrum of what can be achieved with our versatile microcement overlay. By simply switching the tools and tweaking the installation technique, the same formula can create vastly different textures. Our favourite element is the way light filters through the perforated steel ceiling to create beautiful shadows, which reflect on the central pedestal’s Quartz Carpet sample displays.

“Sydney Indesign is an opportunity for exhibitors to showcase to the industry what they are all about — their personality, culture and energy — and gives our audience of architects, interiors designers and creatives the opportunity to discover new design, build their industry knowledge and develop meaningful relationships. It’s about educating, networking, socialising and exchanging ideas." Open Friday 11 August and Saturday 12 August, 2017.
